A Spatial
Record of the
L.A. Fires

I traveled to Los Angeles to create a spatial record of the damage left in the wake of the Palisades and Eaton fires. With 37,000 acres burned and more than 16,000 structures destroyed, this archive of 3D scanned homes, schools, churches and businesses in Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and Malibu, helps capture the scale of the historic disaster.

I'm a visual journalist and storyteller. Over my 15+ year career,  I've worked as a staff member for leading media outlets including the New York Times and CNN in a variety of roles: contributing writer, photo editor, producer of immersive experiences, and technologist. My background in fine art has also directed me to participate in art residencies, and create and curate investigative and documentary projects in the form of public installations. Most recently, I've been exploring emerging technology and its impact on the future of interactive storytelling.
